Rating four stars because we like it but there are little things that aren't great. Pros: -cheap with tons of features. -kids love that it plays video for them in the back seat (we have a seperate monitor in the back, not included). we got it because our other dvd unit died, and this has played everything that we have thrown at it. -easy install by myself with a harness. I also experimented and installed a backup cam that works great. flip screen is clear and bright for easy usage. -bluetooth works well and microphone picks up voice fine without installing an external mic. -flip screen seems decent strength--while initially installed it kept hitting a part of the dash and stopped until room was made. didn't mean to but i felt like it tested the mechanics and it performed well and seemed on the "tough" side. Cons: -when you start the car it it has to flip the screen up everytime. not a big deal but when its cold then it makes a squealing sound. makes me think cold locations may get annoyed. -When CD plays the screen shows a graphic of levels of sound which have nothing to do with the music, we just close the screen. -main knob is not very substantial feeling and not promenent from the face. it would be nice for it to be a little larger for ease, still have had no problems with volume or control. Just letting people know who want to know. -Bluetooth only pairs with one phone at a time seems like. so if my wife drives it will pair great but if I take the van out I have to do the whole setup thing again to get it to pair with my phone each time.
