I was really excited to hear my package had arrived, and hated the fact that I had to wait a week before getting home to use it. The box arrived completely intact, none of the usual dented corners from a heavy box. It was solidly packaged inside, sandwiched between two form fitting styrofoam blocks. The handle was easy to install, same for the dust collector. Now the not so great part.... The lip of the outfeed table rests a fraction of an inch above the granite surface, so if you weren't expecting it, your lumber will bind up against it and take a large chunk of it. After removing it, (and building a new outfeed from some scrap) there was no more issue with it binding. The planer doesnt like to take much off at all.....think 1/64th of an inch at a time. The only time i wasn't getting blade marks was when I only adjusted the handle a quarter turn. So, take your time with this and you will be pretty happy. If you are looking for professional quality though, set your budget a little higher and get something else.
