I’ve really been impressed with the product quality. I especially like the frame that makes placement of the glass ever so much easier. I must emphasize that getting the surface of the iPad PERFECTLY CLEAN is a must. After my installation I learned the hard way why a clean surface is so important. In particular I’d like to suggest the following: Wear a hair net or hat to cut down/eliminate flaky scalp particles and hair from contaminating the surface. Make sure the clothing you wear is clean and not apt to shed any materials. Pick a place with good lighting, and perhaps one or more overhead lights whose reflections can help finding particles on the surface. Don’t rush the inspection for particles on the surface. Try to not have any moving air around the place where you are doing the installation. If you have any condition that causes trembling hands, find someone else to help you when installing the glass on the screen. I’d suggest that after you lay the glass on the surface, if you only have 1 or 2 trapped particles, leave them, especially if they are near the edges of the screen. The reason brings me to my second piece of advice. If you must lift the glass to fix imperfections, you will probably create more imperfections. In fact some of the dust particles will stick to the glass overlay and will be impossible to remove anyway. Third, don’t touch the sticky side of the overlay with ANYTHING. It will create a blemish that can’t be removed. If you’ve never done an tablet before, know that it’s harder than a phone. Consider buying a kit that has at least two glass overlays. I want to use my iPad for a week or two to see how the many imperfections in my install will play out. I’m sure I will be removing the first glass and toning a better, more careful install of the second. I have no criticism of the product. All my disappointment comes from my actions and carelessness.
