This Product is Great and All Natural Doesn't Mean Safe for Everyone
Hello! Botanist here. I just wanted to let folks know that many of you are laboring under a misconception that simply because a product is natural, it won't cause a reaction. This is just untrue, especially if you have an autoimmune disorder. Essential oils are actually often very harsh compounds. Many of the oils that we love to smell like are actually produced by the plant to defend itself from insects, such as lavender oil. When you make an essential oil you are actually concentrating these ingredients. Youch! Your immune system is responding to an attack essentially. Now I don't have an autoimmune disorder but I am literally allergic to everything I love and then some: plants, furry critters, and my own dead skin cells (i.e. dust). All of these things are all natural, but my immune system still flips out if I inhale even a nanoparticle of pollen. I've even had reactions in the past with scented lotions and soaps so I'm very careful about what I put on my skin. This deodorant worked amazingly for me; reducing sweat without causing me discomfort. I love it and am totally hooked.
I'm so sorry for any one who got a chemical burn, they're so painful. Let me recommend that if you are very sensitive that this deodorant and many other paste style ones, will have too many ingredients for you. Look for natural crystalized mineral salt deodorants. I use one after my shower at the gym because it is more portable. These usually contain a single ingredient, a mineral salt, and are hypoallergenic. If you're dead set on trying this one, DO NOT use it in your armpits first. It's a very sensitive region and is directly connected to your lymphatic system, which plays a critical role in your immune system. Test it somewhere else first, like an arm.
Don't let the scary pictures turn you off of this deodorant, but always do a patch test if you're concerned. <3
