Even though it's labeled for dogs, this is a great item for cats too! The thick memory foam is loved by my cat, and she loves to take naps on the soft cover. My cat does not use any of her other cat beds (we have three other ones), whether they are cave-style or doughnut-style. Because this doesn't have any edges, I think she feels comfortable laying on it, and she loves how much room it gives her! She's a moderately large cat (12 lbs and very long), so it's great that the bed gives her more than enough space (I got the Medium (29" x 18" x 3”) size) and so much more cushion than her next favorite place, which is the floor. One note - make sure you give the memory foam enough time to expand by itself! This is written on the packaging, but just wanted to point it out again in case anyone wonders why it's not initially as 'puffed out' as it will get in a day or two.
