I received this kettle a few days ago and it arrived intact, clean, and with a travel bag which fit the kettle and cord perfectly. I wanted a kettle that was portable, stainless steel, and quiet. Per the reviews and description, I decided to give this one a try. The directions were written in English and simple to understand, but the lettering inside the kettle’s cup contains language that is not in English. It also lists the number “360” and I’m sure that it relates to the unit of measure. Whatever that may be. The directions state that the “water level should be kept within the range of the maximum and minimum water levels set by the scale”, but I was curious to know if I could boil water at the max line. I filled the kettle and clicked the on/off switch. It immediately began heating the water and after 1 minute and 30 seconds the water began boiling and I mean BOILING. In fact, the water boiled over and out of the spout. Lesson learned: don’t fill the kettle to the max line. For the next test, I filled the kettle between the max and min line as directed. Success! No boil over and hot water within 2 minutes. The switch and light clicked off when the water was heated. I was able to boil 2 cups of water. I am giving the kettle 4 stars because I have only had the kettle a few days and it will be more than a few months before I can confidently say it’s durable and reliable. So far, so good!
