Works perfectly; the color is the only problem.
Like another reviewer said, I wish I didn't need this but am relieved to have it. I can fit into a regular seatbelt but sometimes I feel very constricted. I bought this after a flight a month ago where the flight attendant had me wait right inside the jet bridge door while she made kind of a huge production about getting me a seatbelt extender. I felt as though I were a character in a movie where a drugstore clerk gets on the loudspeaker and asks for a price check on something really embarrassing. Anyway, I brought this extender on a recent United flight. It worked in both the large plane and the much smaller connecting airplane. The one flaw I have found with this seatbelt extender is the difference in color from most airplane seat belts, which are usually either gray or blue. This extender is black. A few reviewers commented that the color difference makes the extenders more noticeable to flight attendants, who might give you a hard time about not using the airline's extender. Conscious of this issue, I slipped my belt on discreetly and then used either my coat, shirt, or airline blanket to cover my black extender while still keeping the blue airline belt visible during the seatbelt check. I had no issues. If you are just using your extender to give you an extra inch or so of room, I recommend concealing the long seatbelt "tail" that hangs off the extender. I tucked mine into my shirt. In conclusion, this is a great product but use it carefully to avoid extra attention from the flight crew. Update on 1/19: I used this extender again (on another United flight), and this time, the flight was longer and I was seated more conspicuously in the exit row. I was also one of the last people to board the plane due to a very short layover, and I thought the entire row would notice me using the extender. If nothing else, this experience made me realize that most airplane travelers are not (despite how I felt busting out this extender) staring at you. I don't think anyone noticed. I also realized about halfway through the flight that my extender had become visible while I was sleeping, despite my earlier attempts to conceal it. The flight attendant definitely saw it when she did a seatbelt check, but if she noticed that it was an extender, she didn't say anything. I noticed that a few of the other seatbelts nearby were not all the same color. So I will use this going forward with a little less paranoia, and I still highly recommend it.
