Fantastic driving power, no mar head... spend the extra $30 for sure !!!!
Fantastic driving power and a true no mar head. I bought the high end Makita from Amazon and was horribly dissapointed and sent that back. See reviews under that unit. It could not toe nail (nail at 45 degrees) worth beans on any brads longer than 3/4", and this while having to run the the gun at and just over its max pressure (not good for the life oif the gun). Plus the gun mared softwoods on almost every drive. I love my other Makita tools, but sad to see such an inferior product put out by them. I was looking to buy a new brad nailer as the Senco I have also could not toe nail the longer brads that I neeeded to drive (2 inch+). I have 3 sets of staircases and balconies to do the finish carpentry on, and will be driving 100's of toenails on the balusters. Having them only partially drive in and having to hammer / nail punch each would have been a bear, not only time and aggrevation wise, but also to have to puddy fill in and sand all those 100's of enlarged holes that the nail punch would make. I decided to spend the extra $30 and give the Bostitch a try. Man o' man... what can I say. No mars, easily toe-nails 2" brads through hard wood oak balusters and imto hardwood oak treads, with a perfect level of counter-sink of the brad, while running the gun at only abut 80% of its max pressure. I highly recommend this Bostitch brad nailer gun . It is well, well (and well again) worth the few extra few $$$ spent. You will be glad you did. Hope the review helps your purch decision. If yes, give it a thumbs up vote. Thanks - Jim
