You get what you pay for
It's a very thin screen protector, I wouldn't trust it for drop protection but it's perfectly suitable for scratch protection. I bought this because my Otterbox Alpha Glass protector was faulty and I'm waiting for a replacement to arrive, I needed an inexpensive temporary replacement. I'm not saying to purchase the Alpha Glass over the Spigen as the Alpha Glass has issues of its own; neither screen protector is truly ideal. However, this could be the perfect screen protector if Spigen increases the density of the glass. I would gladly pay an extra $10 for a thicker, more trustworthy screen protector. Spigen could easily dominate the market if they do this. The good: The application was EXTREMELY simple. You slot the phone in and it applies (usually) in a perfect manner. It's also inexpensive and comes with all the tools you need. The bad: It's a frail screen protector. Low density and can easily splinter or shatter from the simplest of drops. My recommendation: Buy this if you always have difficulty applying screen protectors; the application is extremely simple, you just place the phone in the slot and you're done. Buy the Alpha Glass if you have the skills to apply protectors with perfect measurements. If you bought an XS Max, chances are you have the money to buy a higher end protector too. All in all, neither one is perfect, but this one is the easiest to recommend due to ease of application. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS.
