★★★★☆
A decent, basic drill/driver- but beware that it includes only one battery
This drill/driver provides adequate torque (300lb vs the typical 400-450lb of a comparable 18v/20v drill/driver), and it's sufficient for the homeowner who plans to use it quite sparingly. Despite B&D being not considered seriously among contractors, they actually build decent stuff- after all, they're the parent company of DeWalt. It's a decent value, but there's one glaring problem: It only includes ONE battery, which means your projects are forced to a screeching halt while you wait out the recharge period (unless you happen to have multiple drills, like me). This can be extremely frustrating. This drill would be a good choice if you already own compatible BD batteries for other devices. If not, you may want to consider buying something with two batteries for just a few bucks more, like the Dewalt 18v driver for $99 or so.
