Hi, I just got mine today and ran into the same problem that “Hoochbobble Records” did. On a flat top stove it was rocking back and forth such that it actually moves across the stove top – not cool. HOWEVER, I emptied the hot water out and took it to a sturdy table. Placed it upside down and gave the bottom of the container a couple firm hits in the center with a rubber mallet. I suppose any hammer would do. Once the bottom of the container was a bit more concave, I filled it up with water, brought it back to the stove and it worked fine. Just a couple firm taps with the mallet (a slight concave is all you need) and that was it. Now it's perfect. The reason I still had to give it 5 stars is a sign of how much I really like this unit. It feels solid, has a thick glass top piece and actual wood on the handle. I’m glad the company designing this product is US based, I would be ecstatic if it was also manufactured in a place other than China but I understand… The video included here is the percolation after I applied the quick fix.
