I purchased this wig stand so that I can wash my longer full lace wigs in the shower with my hand held shower head. It was a pain trying to wash them on the styrofoam wig heads in my kitchen sink. This stand works perfectly for this purpose. I have to be careful that the stand does not rust, because my primary use will be for washing my wigs. Because of the fact that this stand is very light weight, it might be problematic for more rigorous styling techniques or for wig making. I think it will work fine for my purposes of doing flexirod sets, or for using a curling wand. I also like that it can be folded an tucked away. It has a carrying case, but I don't intend to carry it anywhere other than from my bathroom to my closet. :-)
