I have very fast internet (250 Mbps) but I kept getting lags while I was streaming. I did a little research and I came to the realization that my ethernet cables were the cause. Once I replaced the ethernet cable connecting my modem to my router, and my router to my PS4, things instantly changed. For most people, Cat7 cables would be enough, but I like future-proofing everything so I got Cat8. Keep in mind that Cat8 cables are good for small spaces like apartments but not so much for large spaces like estates. So If you're planning on installing ethernet cables on acres then Cat7 is the way to go.
