As I do with all purchases from Amazon and elsewhere, I read the reviews very carefully. Some reviews indicated that this water filter was difficult to install. However, I found it was quite to the contrary; it was easy to install and took only a couple of minutes. There are many adapter fittings provided and all that was necessary was to pick the one that fit the best. Some reviews also indicated a bad smell through the filter. The water where I live is heavily chlorinated and very hard and this device does an excellent job at eliminating any chlorine odor and the water tastes good. It is also very easy to switch from filtered to unfiltered simply by rotating a smooth lever.
