I was very much looking forward to the new season, and so far it doesn't disappoint. There's more of the over-the-top violence, gore, and guts, more of the quirky humor and pop culture references, and more of... well pretty much everything. A year has passed since the prior episodes. Vaught still orchestrates everything for ratings and the almighty buck. Homelander is, so far, being successfully blackmailed in to behaving (mostly), Hughie stumbles across a bit of Victoria's backstory and powers, Maeve continues working with Butcher to figure out how to take down Homelander, and Starlight becomes co-captain of the team, among other things (trying to stay spoiler free here). And, Temp V is introduced, an experimental drug that affords regular folks temporary superpowers. If you liked the prior seasons, I'm betting you'll love this one. I'm totally enjoying it so far!
