I, a female, bought this for myself because my husband considers himself a “gentleman lumberjack,” and refuses to use any power tools for cutting down trees or trimming branches; I trim as many tree branches as he does, and got sick of having to use a handsaw and took matters into my own hands, but with power tools in hand! I had never used a chainsaw in my life, and this was easy to use; the first weekend I had it, I took down so many trees branches, it took two trailer loads to get them all hauled off to the composting center! Before using it, you will need to charge the battery, and also make sure you get chainsaw bar oil and fill the reservoir/oil it.
