An absolute must for anyone counting and wrapping alot of coins!! (business or personal)
I have a coin/cash operated business. So I needed something to sort my coins and I did not want to spend really big dollars on a coin sorter. After I got this machine figured out, I am very happy with it. I ordered these wrappers (http://amzn.com/B00INW12OU) and they worked perfectly. Here are a few note worthy things:
1. It does NOT accept dollar coins and they will cause a jam. So if your business or collection of coins has $1 coins, then you need to spot them and remove them before dumping your coins in the hopper.
2. There are 4 rows of tubes for each coin (.25, .05, .01, and .10 left to right). You will put a coin wrapper in each of the tubes. and then push the row of tubes all the way in. as it fills up each tube it will stop filling, move the tube that is filled out so that the next empty tube is now ready to collect the coins. It will then resume sorting and filling. It will continue this process for all coin types. Once the 4th tube is filled it will stop completely until those tubes are removed, inserted with new wrappers and pushed back in. I think it is best to just let them finish and keep pushing the tubes out. It takes only seconds to remove the wrapper filled with coins and fold the ends down. If you bump the row next to the one you are trying to pull out just because it is ready, then it will stop sorting. Don't be impatient as you won't save that much time. If you have 4 tubes worth of pennies, then after the 4th tube fills up and it stops, at that time remove all 4 tubes, refill with empty wrappers and reinsert, push it all the way in.
3. After I finished sorting all the coins, I just dumped the partially filled wrappers back in the change bowl and they will get resorted on the next run. I then press the counter reset button. While it does count the money and it is sort of neat to know how much has run through it, I don't find that to be a necessity. I will still write down the deposit based on the count of the completed rolls.
If you are on the fence on this, I can assure you that you will not be sorry that you got it. I am very happy with it. If I have any issues after having this and using it for a while, then I will let you know.
