Installation was easy, the directions did a good job, but full disclosure, I have been a landlord for 30 years and do my own work. So having had to do a lot of toilet repair I didn't anticipate any trouble. The one thing I did want to mention was that like a lot of people the plastic toilet seat did float about a quarter of an inch above the toilet when I finished installation. I decided not to worry about it and in a couple of weeks I noticed that the seat was now sitting down on the toilet the way it should. So for me it wasn't an issue. I feel so much cleaner with this I am very glad I ordered it.
