Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I was excited to see that Ms. Basford was releasing a follow up book to her awesome Secret Garden and promptly pre-ordered it. Was very happy to receive it and immediately began paging through, wonderfully surprised at so many new designs and delightfully inky pages to color. One thing that stuck out right away is the paper quality is BETTER, in my copy of Secret Garden the pages were thin and I could tell how easily they'd bleed through if using something other than away colored pencil (or crayon). The paper in Enchanted Forest is much thicker and not as grainy (porous? If that makes sense...). Still a little sad to see some double pages with designs right in the crease which will make it difficult to color, but that's alright. Minor annoyance. The especially magnificent surprise at the end makes up for it. She really outdid herself!
