Impressive features and performance at an affordable price
I can't comment on the longevity of this tool because I've recently purchased it. But I can say that the tool is absolutely amazing for the price. I've used it a lot during a recent home improvement project, and it paid for itself many times over. I used this inspection camera to view what's inside the walls before doing construction. It potentially saved me from inflicting expensive damage to water lines and drainage pipes in the area that I was working. The picture quality of the endoscope is quite good. One of the reasons I chose this particular endoscope over competing models is that its focal distance is much more generous. You can clearly view the area several inches away from the camera whereas other endoscopes require the camera to be within a couple of inches from the area you want to view. When viewing the interior of a wall (between the studs), it's particularly helpful to be able to see farther. As can be seen in the included picture, I discovered (and avoided damaging) a water pipe running horizontally across the wall immediately behind the drywall where I had planned to drill. ADDITIONAL DISCLOSURE: After posting this review, it occurred to me that I should update it to mention one important fact to prevent misconceptions about the power of the endoscope's built-in LEDs. In the attached photo, I used an additional LED flashlight when I took that photo with the endoscope. As such, be aware that the endoscope's built-in LEDs are not as bright as shown in the photo. In this particular situation, I was trying to see several feet up to the very top of the wall, and I had no way to "snake" the endoscope up while maintaining control of the camera head to keep it pointed in the desired direction. So I used an additional light source in order to see farther up the wall without physically moving the endoscope all the way to the top of the wall. In most cases in which you only want to see a few inches away from the camera, the built-in LEDs are more than adequate by themselves. Note that the attached photo does accurately reflect the image quality with respect to the endoscope's focal distance. As you can see, the endoscope's camera is capable of taking fairly clear pictures at longer distances (apparently beyond the "official" manufacturer's specification of 16 inch focal distance).
