...okay, I have used the Pet Pro bagless vacuum that is the earlier model of this one for years. It's the blue one. As a matter of fact, that (blue one) vacuum cleaner cleaned every inch of a three thousand, two hundred square foot floor (a medical clinic) five to six times a week, every week for almost five years. Every day...day in, day out. I ran two agitator bars bald on it before a switch finally cooked on it. I bought another one. It's still running strong. Had it four years. HERE STARTS THE REVIEW: This "updated model" of the same vacuum is better in some ways, not better in other ways; besides being red and shaped a little differently of course. Better: More efficient shape. I LOVE the flatter profile of the head. It goes right under things like cabinet skirt-boards with ease. It also has some MAJOR suction!! That's probably the best feature. It brought stuff up OUT of the carpet that shocked me. The canister empties easier. Cleans easier. And it lasts about as long as the older model before having to clean parts. If ya got a big house, just clean it before you start. (or better yet, right after you get done. That away the sponge filter and cyclone parts will be dry and ready to go. Don't put it together wet. If your doing a pre-clean, just clean out the canister with a rag and beat the sponge filter out with your hand (dusty that!) the HEPA filter lasts about the same, depending on how much you use it. Parts and filters are no problem to order from the Big A. AND THE BEST THING OF ALL (TA-DAAA) : The self roll up cord! Yay! Fantastic! DON'T LIKE: The suction is so powerful that this thing is very HARD TO PUSH through shag, or the one-way-nap carpets...you now the type, easy to vacuum one way, hard to vacuum the other? The house and attachments are about the same as any of the others in this line. This one's hose is a little stiffer because the older model seemed to want to collapse over time right where it's inserted into the motor. But it's not a big deal. This is not a lift off vacuum. The older model was, and still is a lift off. But I never used the lift off anyway, so....do I like it better? Meh...hard to say yet...The older model practically PULLED itself because of the fast agitator bar. I am curious to see if this new and improved model holds up as long as the older model. I almost wish I had stuck with the tried and tested older one. But this is supposedly, and is in some ways, superior. I am dubious at this point. But all in all, it sure does do some SERIOUS deep cleaning, and it IS worth the money. THOSE ARE THE FACTS...
