Best glue gun I've used so far!
I have tons of Milwaukee M12/M18 tools but this cordless glue gun is what motivated me to try out Ryobi and it has not disappointed. It seems like there are almost no good choices for cordless glue guns, those that run on standard batteries don't get hot enough, some are not really cordless but you can unplug them at the gun and it relies on the retained heat to function for a couple minutes while you do your gluing, others are butane but temperature control is hard. It does use up the compact lithium + batteries pretty quick, probably 30-40 minutes, but that's typically more than I need to use the tool for. It does seem on the hotter side of most glue guns I've used, but not enough to boil the dual temp type of glues you typically find in stores now. I think it would be too hot to use with a true low temp glue. The trigger is very good and gives good control and it also has as check valve in the tip so that it does not drip glue out while it's running.
About the only thing that might be nice is if they added an LED, but for $30 that's probably asking a lot.
A hot glue gun tip is when you need to add a new stick heat one end of the new stick on the tip and then stick it to the back of the current stick. It ensures there's no feed problems and helps reduce any air bubbles where the two sticks come together.
