We bought this for my nine year old daughter for Christmas. It definitely needs adult supervision. We recommend using a spoon to fill the snakes, the pot was tricky even for me to pour. The directions weren't very clear about when to start pouring the mix, so our first batch was clumpy and tasted yucky. You need to wait a few minutes for the mixture to heat thoroughly and the mixture to be runny and clear(see through). After we learned that, the other ones were good, but next time we will try adding less Knox gelatin, to see if they are a little softer. Overall, my daughter really likes it and I'm glad we bought it. The picture attached shows the fish(first batch) as compared to the bear and worm. Good luck!
