Ok I own a red and white 4 yr. old male maine coon. He is handicapped because he was born with only three legs. This being said he has a hard time keeping up with grooming himself but also HATES to be brushed. I got online and looked at the reviews and purchased this tool. OMG I AM GREATFUL FOR THIS TOOL!!!!!! He still hates being groomed, he hated this tool like all others... BUT in 1 HOUR my matted to the skin maine coon kitty turned into my bright and shiny coat Nemo. It worked great. Didn't rip his fur. Works like a human hair brush. You start at the end of the mat and work your way into the skin. The brush detangles the matted piece of fur and then easily removes it. If you own a pet that likes being groomed that is awesome you will love this tool. If you have a cat like my nemo.. then have a second person help position your cat and the tool will still work wonders. This product is just amazing. I can't say enough good things about this brush. And what is great is it takes out the loose fur that can possibly become matted to prevent them. Once the mats on Nemo were gone he didn't mind the brush. His fur was really bad which is why i went on a panic search for something that i could use without hurting him. Again it worked great BUY THIS BRUSH!!!!!!
