Okay... I purchased this LG system after reading many of the same reviews that you've read. I paid the same attractive price too. At first it was seemed to be a great bargain for a budget. I've had a few months to really listen to it and I'm impressed. I was set back that there's only factory set EQ (Equalization) so I reluctantly chose a default. I have listened to countless songs and movies of which I'm already very familiar with. To my surprise, I have heard lyrics and dialogue which I previously didn't understand what they were saying or singing. It's as if the engineers at LG know how to make people enunciate their words. Plain as day. I'm also hearing other counterparts in songs which were otherwise previously buried in the background of the mix on much more expensive professional sound systems. It's added a whole new reason to pull out old favorites and give them another spin. [...]
