Ok so here's the bright side- this thing is a WONDERFUL desk, and you can have the long side on the right OR the left which is fantastic. I use it for my sewing studio and it couldn't be more perfect. I love that there's shelves too. Here's the negative- which I had to knock a full star off of because its really significant. There were screw ups in the manufacturing. Now, the instructions are pretty unclear- it really helps to read them before you start because some things need to be placed in a specific way (like a particular side up or pointing a certain way) and that's not really obvious or mentioned. My recommendation is to half-screw things together in case they need to be removed and tighten it all at the end. Here's the kicker though- some holes that are supposed to be there just aren't, and no, it's not me. Example- all the legs except one have a place to screw in the plastic feet. Another piece was missing a small set of holes for the screws. Yet another piece was angled improperly. I managed to make do with duct tape, gorilla glue and in one case an impact drill, but I should not have had to do that.
