The genius of this design is to integrate the two. It is quite sturdy; I can hang two bunches of bananas and has an attractive design. It is larger than I had anticipated so it can hold a lot of fruit. The biggest downside it that the metal rods are narrow so they can bruise and indent fruit, especially soft fruits or if you stack the basket full.
