Could use a bit more fine tuning, but it works
This heating pad is advertised for your back, and seems to be very specifically tailored for that spot.
The good:
It's definitely portable. I charged it up and then wrapped it around me and enjoyed moderate warmth for about an hour. It also feels comfortable when it's wrapped around your waist, with the heating element either on your back or front, depending on where you are sore. The fabric is nice, it's similar to some of my other heating pads. It's also lightweight, so it isn't a chore to have it on while you're moving and doing things around the house.
The bad:
I hate the charger. It's very cheap and low quality. I expected a little better from a well known company like Sunbeam. I also dislike the fact that you can't put it on "high" while you are operating it cordlessly. The charging cord is quite short and flimsy and so it's actually inferior to a regular corded heating pad if you need high heat settings. I have handwarmers that get extremely hot while operating cordlessly, so it's not a matter of technology.
There's also a bit of a missed opportunity in the design - it's clearly made for your back, and while I appreciate that, the photos also show people with the pad on their arm or shoulder, etc. However, the wrap belt doesn't have any other secure "settings" besides the one that works for your back. In other words, it doesn't have additional velcro or snaps or anything that would make it easy to fix it over your shoulder or arm. If you use it as-is, it tends to slide and get loose very fast. It isn't hard to add snaps or velcro, and I'm disappointed that they didn't.
I would also prefer, just for peace of mind, an auto-off function. My other heating pads have this. Perhaps it isn't necessary for something that only holds charge for an hour, more or less, but it would be a nice feature.
