Not a pro, but simple enough to use
I would highly recommend this window film. I used it to address a sun issue with my kitchen. It was the hottest part of my apartment and took direct sunlight and heat for most of the day. It's easier to put up than the ones with adhesive. I didn't have the application solution, so I just mixed some Meyer's Castile soap in a bottle and used a squeegee that I bought from IKEA. I used two different films for my NYC apartment windows and it made a huge difference in my kitchen. In winter I can remove it so I can get some natural heat but for the summertime (now) it made an immediate difference in temperature. You can see the gap between the frame and the tint to see the difference between the window and the film.
If you are anal about the edges, you don't need a professional, just patience to get it to match up and trim the edges as needed and a friend to help with holding the tint films
The bubbles and creases that you see are on the protective film, and not the tint itself. I didn't care about the look so I left it as is since I didnt have an extra pair of hands to hold it while I put the tint up.
I used a privacy film (different vendor on Amazon) on the bottom since I like to walk around in my birthday suit and dont have to worry about making accidental eye contact with my neighbors.
