First, let me say that I am a multi-racial 20-something female with waist-length hair. I have spent the majority of my life trying to fight the natural texture of my hair. It has been an uphill battle and I have tried every process(relaxer:(, japanese straightening,etc) and flat iron (CHI,T3,InStyler,Hot Tools,FHI). In the past I've had moderate success, but this flat iron is the greatest one I've ever used. The digital temp control makes it foolproof. The swivel cord is extra long. The iron is super lightweight, but the plates are large enough to let me get through my superthick, waist-length curls in half the time other irons take. The temp heats up within seconds and cools down almost as fast. They sent a heat resistant pouch/mat to protect your table surfaces (a great accesory for flat iron users). Not only did this iron reduce my styling time, but it left my hair shiny and straight after passing over each section only two times. I used the iron once on my hair last week and this week I actually used it to do a Brazilian Keratin Treatment at home. It was a shockingly easy process and I attribute that to this iron. I can't say enough good things about this flat iron. Once again, I am an avid flat iron user and I have spent lots of $$$ trying to find an iron that would give me the results that this Croc delivered. I always read customer reviews to get a realistic description of a product. I hope this review will help other people who have hard to straighten hair. This iron delivers what it promises.
