I had been debating getting this item Due to all the mixed reviews. I'm going to give my honest opinion of use of this device. I noticed a lot of the 3 star reviews are due to price and one time use. My response to this is it is very well worth the dollars spent. Here is why. Did this work the first time for me? No, but I did reorder this item to try again. This device costs 59.00 dollars. We have been TTC for 4 1/2 years. and have recently in the last 6 months started going back to the dr. AGAIN. we are now on fertility medicine to help TTC. All systems are normal between him and I and there is "no reason" why it isn't happening. we did 2 rounds of fertility med and shot at home with no success. Last month we did the meds, no shot and this device no success. This month we are going to go meds, shot, and this device and hope it works. I do believe it does what it is supposed to do and I do believe we can have success. Fingers are crossed for this month. now for usage on this . Value. Going to Dr. To get meds you have to go to DR every month before they will issue again. which is $50.00. Blood work $35.00 , Medicine $18 with insurance. Shot is $69 with insurance without can be $150. Going to Dr to have them do this exact procedure is another $450 with insurance. That is 400 more than this cost just for that procedure. not including the other costs for everything else added on top. The cost of the sonogram they must do another $60 with insurance. so you see. spending over 780 each month to do all this. or spending 59 to try this. I think it is very worth it. This device does seem very similar to what they do at dr office. Nothing is guaranteed. I know of 2 ppl that have gone to the dr and had inserted 2 and 3 times each and no success. So if you haven't gone to the DR and are trying. YES try this. It can't hurt. We also paired with male fertility to help his motility, and w believe it did work , there was a difference in his "swimmers". Which was 20. so spend 80 and try it. Versus what we are spending. If I had found this before we started going to DR. I would have tried without shots and medicine, but I am not backtracking. Now on to the use of this - Is it uncomfortable? A little. but going to the dr isn't either. We didn't mess around and try using the "c-o-n-d-o-m- during "fun Times" (sorry got to watch language for review hahaha) We took out the cap and he inserted his sample straight into the cap. (come on at dr office he goes in a cup, no different) I put the cap in the handle as instructed and followed instructions from there. The cap stays in for 4-6 hours. Yes it is a long time. But I think it is a good deal. It helps "hold" everything up and not let it fall down and let gravity take over. We looked at the website and watched the videos 2,3, and 4 times to ensure we were following instructions correctly. The instructions are very, very thorough. The videos help to understand how it works immensely. and helped us not be confused and mess this up. Watch the videos, watch again follow instructions, do as it says and I don't think you have anything to lose trying it. Seriously. watch the videos. You only get one shot at this device and they help ensure you don't mess this up. Thank you for the making of the videos because it is so very helpful watching those VS just trying to read what they have written down in the long instructions to follow with foreign language. Cause let's be honest , we will never understand it all. I know it is a long review. but hope it helps. Just ordered my second one, will be here next week and will update after usage and next cycle. **Fingers Crossed**
