Honestly, I didn't need this. But I wanted it. I wanted to see what my drains looked like. I wanted to see what the vacuum looked like, and I wanted to just poke around all the nooks and crannies that I could find. It was kind of a impulse buy. But, right after I got it, my parents had me look through a wall that they thought they lost something in. So it turns out that I immediately had a use for it. They had actually bought their own endoscope before, but the image quality was horrific. When they saw the image quality that mine produced plus the light source, they were very impressed. It's worth nothing that the light is pretty bright -- there are multiple brightness settings, but I've found that the lowest one does the job just fine. It's very easy to use and doesn't require you to sync your phone or anything like that. Turn it on, point it, and take pictures if you want. It comes with a small MicroSD card which is sufficient for my needs, but I presume you could add your own larger MicroSD card if you want. One thing to note is that the cord is semi rigid. This is actually really good because you can't maneuver it well if it's not. I had some difficulty using the camera at first for longer distances; there's definitely some trial and error going on as I try to find the best way to feed it down long channels.
