A mind blowing read
I bought the kindle version and my only gripe is there are a few graphs hard to read on paper white. On iPad they look great. The content is believable and will come as a shock to many. Certainly did to me. I always assumed China would be a leading force and take the baton from US at some point. While I’m sure that’s still a possibility, I was Shocked to see their population is already more elderly, and will be cut in half from current levels by 2050 to 2070. The US will fare better than the rest of the world. If we don’t destroy ourselves with partisanship. It was refreshing to read a book with less partisanship and wokeness, and more heavy doses of reality. He took a couple shots at Trump, his supporters, and the anti vaxxed which felt assumptive and lacked context in regards to coronavirus and immigration (many Trump supporters support LEGAL immigration). But at least he didn’t go woke thank goodness. He also didn’t address wokeness and leftism as a threat to the US which I certainly think it is. Aside from that, overall a great read if you want to understand the beginnings of our supply chain breakdown and inflation and labor shortages and what the future may hold for all of us
