Love this oil for homemade products!
I used to keep some oils around for oil pulling, makeup removal, and for when I finally got around to making homemade products like lip balm and body creams. Unfortunately, I never used them much (as oil pulling wasn't really my thing, and I rarely wear makeup), so they went rancid. When I got a chance to purchase this product at a discount for my honest review, I knew I had to try it, and I'm glad I did! I'd gotten some cacao butter a few weeks ago, and a lady had posted a recipe with her review for a lip balm (included below) that I had to try. Next time I make these, I'll need to find some different containers than the 2oz ones I had, as I need a q-tip to get the balm out and onto my lips. If you've ever used body butter, the balm is very similar in that it's hard in the container, but melts on your lips immediately. Very silky and amazing! I also used some of this oil to make a body butter (recipe also below), which I've never made, or even used, before. It was seriously like putting a slat of butter in a hot frying pan! It's definitely very oily to start with, then my skin just soaked it up. No shining, and while I could feel it when I touched my skin, there wasn't any heaviness to notice it otherwise. Overall, I'm so glad I got this product, which I'll definitely buy again!

Homemade Body Butter
Ingredients
1 cup Cacao Butter.
1/2 cup Coconut Oil.
1/2 cup sweet almond oil.
Instructions
-In a bain-marie, melt down your hard butters and oils until fully liquid.
-In a bowl, blend together the melted butters with all of the oils and set in the freezer to harden, about 20 minutes.
-Once the mixture is solid again, but not too hard, whip it up using an electric whisk, a food processor with a whisk attachment, a handheld whisk and a bit of elbow grease until you have created fluffy white clouds.
-Spoon it into a clean jar or container.
-Note: It will keep for months!
(I used 1/2 cup cacao butter, 1/4 cup fractionated coconut oil, 1/4 cup sweet almond oil, about 10 drops of lavender oil, and about 4 drops of tea tree oil, which mostly filled three 4 oz containers)
