First of all, we got this product free in exchange for a review. The waterer was easy to assemble and our cats seemed to take to it immediately. Instructions were clear (and in English). It is built out of pretty heavy plastic, so it should be pretty durable. The pump is the same as you see in all the tabletop fountains, so replacement ought to be easy when it eventually fails. The wiring is done in a way that prevents leaks. Overall we were pleasantly surprised- we were expecting a much more cheaply built item. Issues: Still not sure what happens when we run out of filters. They need to get that worked out in the next couple months, or the cats will be back to their old-style bowl. Fifth star when that happens. Box had a few pieces of broken off pieces of blue plastic in it. We never did figure out where they came from, but they caused us to think it was broken out of the box.
