Initial Review - Good But Will Report Back In Several Weeks with RESULTS!
Okay, first things first. Let's really talk here. I received my product about a week and a half ago. I do not appreciate quick reviews saying just how the product feels and all. We purchase these products because we want to see a difference, real results and without a review discussing that, it's worthless. So I am almost in my second week of using the product and I can only comment on my current experience and, as I often do in my reviews, I will return in several weeks with an update on how the product actually WORKS.
So, for now I can say I like the texture. It's thin but not really *watery* in that you can tell it has some substance to it. As you pat it on, you can feel a slight silicone-like glide to the product. I like that. I experienced a tiny bit of stinging the first time I used it but that's because I put it on right after washing my face. Now, I wait a few minutes until my face has dried a bit and then apply. No stinging or problems at all. I will be posting some photos of me currently and then several weeks later on my "problem areas" - cheeks mostly from teenage acne many years ago. I am 48 years old and have no wrinkles to speak of so not expecting anything there. But I have used vitamin C serums before, most notably the one by Avon many years ago before they discontinued it and I loved it. Skin gets more dewy and even toned and I am expecting the same with this product.
So far, so good.
To be fair (because I like to see before and after photos) here are a few pics of my face CLOSE UP today. I'm really already seeing improvement. I am also using this on my neck so I want you to see that as well. A couple months I will return with updated photos to see what's really going on. I've already set up a reminder in Wunderlist so yes, I really will be back. And keep in mind, closeup photos suck because we get to see ourselves the way the general public doesn't. In the supermarket, for instance, you'd never be this close. So I had to include one cute photo just so you see that I'm not hideous in general - LOL!
UPDATE 3/24/2016
The review above was on February 13, 2016 and I'm back. See photos in white shirt below. While I'm not sure yet how much improvement there is on my face, I do see results on my neck. I tried to get a photo in sunlight but shadow kept interfering so there are 2 new photos with the white shirt. Hope you can see it well enough compared to the first picture of my neck (that came out sideways) where you can see the bottom of my phone case. Now in fairness, the improvement may be simply because in addition to applying twice a day, I'm also paying more attention and massaging in moisturizer after each application of the Vitamin C serum. Still, not bad for just over 30 days. I'm about 1/3 through the bottle so it lasts well and I really think I use a bit more than I probably need to. I don't so much rub it in as I put about 5 drops in my palm then pat it directly onto my forehead, 3 more drops for each cheek, 6 or more for neck (all the way around), and then I dot some on bridge of my nose and chin. Pretty much my whole face, avoiding eyes as Vitamin C can be drying.
Will be back with updates and more photos, too. That's how I review products. As Othello said, I give you the ocular proof!
