I'm not sure how the clippers work just yet. They're probably fine. This review reflect the fact that my entire package was smeared with blade-oil (hopefully visible in reflected light, first picture). Examining further, my bag of clipper combs was open - not torn, but cut (second picture). Rightfully suspicious, I decided to examine the combs closely - THERE IS STILL HAIR STUCK TO THEM (third picture). There's a good reason hair-dressers sanitize their tools - this is akin to receiving worn underpants with a stain. VERY unhappy. This is gross. Update: These cut very poorly, requiring around ten passes on an area to get all hairs to the same length. Massive disappointment. Second update: This review, whilst accurate, is for a heavily-used set of clippers that were sent out by Amazon after a return, and are not indicative of Wahl's clippers in general. I was issued a replacement, which are fantastic, but a different model. This review has been adjusted to the average rating for this product. I would delete this review, but it's definitely worth noting the quality of customer service from Wahl, and letting folks know that a disappointing, used-product experience is not indicative of anyone's failure except Amazon.
