I knew we had a problem the morning my cat, Peanut, wasn't frantically scrambling over me in bed at 7:00 am, crying for breakfast. At first I thought she might be ill, and then I discovered the truth: after weeks of pawing and nuzzling the kibble bag, she had managed to open it and feed herself (see attached evidence). I sealed it up and didn't think much of it, until she repeated the same act the next morning. Since unlimited feeding times and amounts don't really mesh with Peanut's diet and exercise program, I knew we needed a solution. After researching a variety of options on Amazon, I selected the Van Ness 10-pound Food Container, which has successfully held her 11.1 pound bag of kibble. So far, I can report that she has successfully not opened it - though not for lack of trying! Great container at a great price, and best of all, will allow you to determine the amount and times you feed your pets! UPDATE: Reducing my review to 4 stars because, if knocked over by your cat, it may open and spill kibble everywhere. Consider not storing this container on a shelf.
