This is basically pre-cooked, preserved bacon. It tastes like bacon, not jerky. If you hate bacon and want jerky, go somewhere else. Also, see a psychiatrist. But if you love bacon, this is INCREDIBLE. Already cooked, you need nothing but the bag. You can take it anywhere and eat bacon. Take it to the beach and eat bacon in the ocean. Take it on a ski trip and eat bacon on the lift. Take it a camping trip and make bacon-smores if that is your thing. (Give me your recipee.) It is a bit greasy, because like I said earlier, it is bacon. So take a paper towel with you unless you are eating bacon in the ocean, then just go under the water. P.S. Do not eat the silicate package. It tastes nothing like bacon.
