Our Aussie started scratching constantly and it was driving us crazy! (I’m sure she didn’t like it much either.) Her coat went dull and coarse as well. Everywhere we looked said it was allergies so we tried Benadryl (per the vet’s recommendation) and switched her to a limited ingredient dog food. Nothing really helped, and we were starting to worry that she had developed an allergy to something in our new home that we wouldn’t be able to find. We saw someone recommend salmon oil for itchy dogs and as a last resort gave it a shot. These things have totally changed her life and we’re not even halfway through the bottle. She’s not constantly scratching anymore, and her coat is starting to go back to its soft and fluffy state. I had seriously low expectations for this experiment and it blew them way out of the water. I still don’t know what caused her to develop those symptoms, but I do know they stopped once we put her on these supplements, even after nothing else helped. I can’t say enough nice things about these, and I’m so glad we found them. As an added bonus- our 7 year old dog loves them so much that she’s finally willing to learn some new tricks we’ve been trying teach her for years. 6 years of asking for a handshake and all it took was a month of salmon chews. Who knew?
