I gave this 4 stars when I first got it because it seemed like just a decent case but nothing special BUT I HAD TO COME BACK BECAUSE I went hiking and dropped my phone about 12 feet into a rock chasm tunnel and it landed face down. On a jagged rock. I took a deep breath of relief to see there were only 2 bad scratches on the protector, super impressed the whole thing didnt shatter. But the one scratch was super deep and I was so positive the rock had cut through to my screen. You can feel the bevel in the screen protector. Between my dog and my kid I couldn't check it right then so I just kind of let my heart break over my new phones scratched screen, while being grateful the whole thing wasn't shattered (go android!) I got back to the car and took the case off the check how bad it was and MY PHONE IS FINE. The biggest scratch didnt penetrate the other side of the screen protector. The inside is still perfectly smooth. Already ordered a new one to replace this one cuz that scratch is super annoying and it bugs the crap out of my OCD but I rarely drop my phone and if it can survive a head on collision in purgatory chasm then I can afford to replace it. The case isnt indestructible but it will absolutely keep your phone safe and that's all I need for this price!!
