After six weeks of use, we can say the ASUS ProArt PA278QV is an excellent work monitor, but a poor gaming monitor. The colors are vibrant, the monitor is absolutely wonderful with a full range of adjustments (height, tilt, angle), the 2W speakers are actually great, and we love the clarity/sync-abilities to our HP and Apple laptops. The monitor quickly adapted to the Apple MacBook Pro, where the HP Spectre took some time to sync and setup. At the price point of $300.00 (USD) or less, the ASUS ProArt PA278QV is the way to go. Now, if you are planning to use the monitor for gaming, find another monitor, this is NOT the display for you. With a refresh rate of 5m/s, you will visually see blurring during high-speed movement, videos were similar color transitions too quickly thus creating a run-on of color patterns, and the processing speed lags just a bit due to the high color abilities of the monitor. As an art monitor, you will LOVE the ASUS ProArt PA278QV, but as a gaming monitor, you will be disappointed.
