Sweet relief from arthritis
In the 50s, my mother dipped her hands in wax to help with her arthritis. She melted canning wax in an empty 3 pound Folgers can in a pan of water. This is soooo much better. Sweet relief!! The instructions suggest using hand lotion before using the wax, but that is not necessary. The wax contains lotion and peels off cleanly. My mother stuck her waxed hands in an empty Wonder Bread wrapper. This set comes with plastic bags for your hands to hold in the heat longer. I don't use them. I would rather just dip again if I start to cool too fast. The size of the unit is good. You can put your hand in flat, yet it is not too big on the counter. It not only helps with my arthritis, but also with the tendon in my trigger thumb. My therapist said that I could dip paper in the wax and put that on my shoulder, but I have not mastered that. The hot wax has also been good for my fingernails.
