Let me start by saying that i bought this for my parents who are both seniors and have a hard time using treadmills due to knee and hip issues. I figured getting them an elliptical for their house will encourage them to be more active and give them a no-impact workout. I bought this specific model over others based on size, reviews, and price. After setting it up, I tested it out to make sure everything was stable and working as I expected and was quite pleased (video attached). Pros: - Fast shipping - Small form factor - not nearly as large as a commercial elliptical from the big box stores. (This was a large buying point for me since they don't have an exercise room in their house and I had to fit it into one of the bedrooms). - Instructions for assembly were very well written for a product that came from overseas. - Assembly took 2 people and 45 minutes but is doable by a single person although I would suggest having a lending hand. - Resistance has 8 stages (speed settings) and definitely tired me out on stage 8 after a few minutes. - Display is simple and easily usable by anyone who is not technologically savvy. - Batteries for display were included - Tools for assembly included - Easy to move by tilting it forward and rolling it on the 2 wheels tucked into the front base - Fairly stable for me being 170lbs at a jogging pace - Heart rate monitor accurately matched my smart watch within 2 bpm. Cons: - Would be nice to have more than 8 speed settings for the future, however for my parents or anyone who isn't an avid athlete, the 8 stages are more than ample.
