Awesome concept and it works well. The scans are accurate to what the pages actually look like. The ink comes off easily with a damp cloth but does not rub or scratch off when dry. The writing feels smooth although it's a different feel than regular paper and took a little bit to adjust to. Ink takes slightly longer to dry than regular paper and smudges much more easily which might be a problem for left handed writers (I'm right handed so I don't have this issue). When you wipe a page clean there is NO ink residue remaining HOWEVER, your previous writing leaves behind scratch like marks to the paper that are only visible if you angle the notebook towards the light just right (something I noticed when testing out the notebook) but shouldn't be a problem for regular use. My biggest, and probably only serious complaint beside the potential left handed writers issue, is the amount of pages it comes with. It's 16/18 pages front and back so 32/26 total depending on the size notebook you choose. However, only 16 /18 physical pages just does not seem like it will be able to replace "1000" notebooks like advertised. They are reusable but not indestructible and if the notebook came with more physical pages I'd probably give it a 5 star. That being said I've only used it for a week and more issues could arise in the future OR maybe the notebook actually lasts 1000 notebooks worth of writing. Only time will tell and should anything change I'll be sure to update this review.
