Heavy Fists for a Lightweight
I honestly wasn't expecting much from such a small projector, but was really impressed with the brightness and color contrast this little guy achieves. All projectors struggle in a fully lit room but this one does surprisingly well especially with such a small form factor. I have attached three photos of the same frame with the lights on completely, at half-dim, and off. As expected, the picture looks great in the dark and is still clear with the lights half dimmed, but even with the lights fully on in my room the picture has enough definition to watch something and the colors make their way through. In addition, this was while projecting to a screen width of around 90 inches and a height of around 50, which is past this projector's recommended optimal screen size. For scale, the bed in front of the wall is a king size and the screen width exceeds its height. I own a larger projector and the fan noise is always bothersome, but you have to try pretty hard to hear the fan on this one...it hardly whispers. I also watched a full movie on it right out of the box so I feel comfortable saying that the estimated 2 hours of battery life is accurate, or at least extremely close. This thing really is the epitome of portability. The only negatives I can say are that the focus is a bit sensitive, and while sufficient the speaker sound is a tad tinny. But it would be silly to expect theater sound from something that fits in your pocket and was designed for portability, so simply plugging in a bluetooth speaker or something takes care of that and provides a great mini-theater experience.
*Sidenote: in the attached video the image appears to flicker; this is a conflict between my phone camera's frame rate and the projector's refresh rate, and is not visible to the naked eye...the actual playback was completely smooth
