a very easy fix is available
I found this item to be perfect. For those who complained about the product collecting inside the wheel and then dropping off creating burn spots, a very easy fix is available. Sure, it would be nice if the manufacturer made a solid wheel, but that would increase cost of production (more plastic) and shipping (more weight). To fix the issue, take the left wheel off (depress the two little buttons and slide the wheel off the axle), then press an 8" aluminum pie plate against the hub to make in imprint. Cut out the hole, slide the pie plate (curved AWAY from the wheel) and wheel back on the axle. Then use a mallet to gently pound the pie-plate flat enough so that it clears the bearing, and you have created a cover for the inside of the wheel. I just used mine on grass I had thoroughly wet down, and had no problem at all with fertilizer clumping inside the left wheel. I am a 76-year-old female. ;-D HTH.
