I love this lock as you never need a key. No more fumbling in your pocket or locking yourself out. I found the lock fairly easy to install. Please follow the instructions but I did detail some highlights and show some pictures. This lock is a little different than others I have owned in that it automatically locks itself when the door is closed. Installation Steps 1. Remove old lock 2. Add lock that faces out. Be sure to unscrew the brass colored screw which will temporary hold the lock when attached to the black plate 3. Make connection to battery and unit then tuck in wires. 4. Attach lock facing the inside of the door with two provided screws. Code Programming: The program and user codes can be found on the sticker attached to the users guide. I didn’t find the instructions as straightforward as I would have liked, so I rewrote then below. Steps 1. Enter Program Code listed on the sticker. You will hear/see 3 orange lights and beeps. 2. Press the “Schlage” button and the light will turn blue. 3. Press the number “1” and you will hear/see 3 orange lights 4. Enter your new 4 digit code you will hear/see 3 orange lights 5. Enter your new user code again and then you will see the green light and long beep. You now have the new code programmed. I was NOT given a unit to use and provide a review.
