These are one of the best Amazon purchases I have made over the years and I have made some great ones. The length at 10' seems like they will be more length than you need, but they are the perfect length for almost anywhere. Those 3' length cords that come with your phone are way too short unless you are plugged into you laptop, so we had been buying the 6' cords which are decent length for plugging into the wall and keeping your phone close by. Now think about a cord you could plug in behind the couch and sit anywhere on the couch while using your phone. Or think about going to a hotel where you can barely find ANY available power outlet, and be able to plug in where you find an outlet and not need to stand near a wall to use your phone while charging it. Or in the car, plugged in up in the front dash or center console and allows anyone in the back seats of the car to charge up easily. Or in a public place - like a mall, airport, train, classroom, coffee shop etc where you are not lucky enough to be in a seat next to an outlet, you can plug in and move to an available seat. THE PRICE: This purchase come with THREE cords for a very inexpensive price under $15, plus available coupon makes it even cheaper. You can't beat the price. I currently have two of the three in use. One is plugged in behind my couch and I put the cord under the couch and can plug in anywhere I may be sitting on the couch. The second is plugged in my bedroom where my outlet is behind my bed and the cord can make it around the side of my bed to my bedside table and I can grab it and use it freely while in bed, still connected. The third my husband has in his backpack for travel. At this price of less than $5 a piece, I plan to purchase another set of three. THE CHARGING: I like that these have the cord at a right angle to where they are plugged in. The ends have far less stress on them and therefore won't break easily at the connection of where plugged in. See my photo showing the grey lightening cord plugged into a USB power outlet of a multi-port power extension. I was concerned that it may not connect to my phone with my cover on, but for mine it does. I have a very slim caseology cover on my phone, however I could see how if you have a thicker cover, this type of right angle cord would not fit. Once plugged in, the phone charges as quickly as any other lightening cord I have, from apple, Verizon, or otherwise. I have plugged it into my iPad mini as well, and also, it charged quite quickly. I have not timed it, but will do and update here. MY RECOMMENDATION: Highly recommend these lightening cords based on quality, usefulness and of course, price. I will be buying more and replace all my others in the house. NOTE, if you have a thick cover on your phone this may not plug into your phone with the cover on. **UPDATE** JANUARY 2020 I replaced my phone with a thicker cover a couple months ago and it still fit great. However, recently I was adjusting my cover with the lightening cord still plugged in and it snapped. I still give these cords 5 stars for quality and price, however, just wanted to update with a warning to be careful not to wiggle these too much while plugged into your phone.
