Great boots for the price, with one to two minor issues. To start ,the packaging was very nice. They come in a sturdy box (complete with a fabric handle for easy carry) and they were wrapped in a thin mesh to prevent scuffs during transport. The box was a little too small for these boots, so they were folded over at the top. There are no permanent creases as far as I can tell, though. In terms of sizing and comfort, they're great! I wear a 8.5 or a 9 in most shoes, and the 8.5 pair I ordered fits great with a little wiggle room in case I want to double up on socks for cold weather. They are snug around my calves, as well, and they don't "flop" around my leg like the reviews have said on these and other combat-style boots. (I'm 5'5" and 145 lbs, for the sake of reference. If you have very skinny or very large ankles and calves, these boots may not be for you.) The one thing that majorly peeved me about these boots is the secret pocket. I know other reviews complained about its size, but I didn't realize that the pocket size didn't actually extend the full length of the zipper. If you look at the pictures I'll include, you'll see the zipper doesn't go all the way down; the place where it stops marks the final length of the pocket. As for pocket depth, it's fine. You could fit a few credit cards and some bills in there for emergencies, but it's hard to zip up and down; I wouldn't want to struggle with the zipper on a secret credit card pocket for too long in public, so I don't know how much I'll use it. Overall, they're a fine pair of boots, but the selling point for me of having a secret pocket didn't turn out to really be worth it. You can mostly likely find other combat boots for a similar or lower price that are built just as well.
